On the home front, we have noticed in our Bid Meetings for residential work, that pricing from the General Contractors continues to be competitive. When we send Construction Documents out to Bid, we show smaller optional areas of work as “Add Alternates”. Examples of these optional projects are: finishing a basement Recreation Room; renovating the Hall Bath; adding a Portico; rebuilding a Deck, etc.
